Gods Love is New Every Morning
I have just come home from Baton Rouge, LA. I've been gone for over a week, and a lot has happened since I've been gone. Our water heater burst in the upstairs of our house and ruined the ceilings and flooring in a large part of our house. I think I'm living in an airport now as a company has come in and installed a dozen fans roaring in all corners of our house, trying to dry the place out.
When I arrived home tonight, though, it wasn't the damaged ceilings I was interested in or the whirring fans. There was a 12 month old little girl wearing only a diaper (as she had just emerged from her bath). When she saw me, she lifted both hands towards me and, no one can tell me differently, said, "Granda." She wanders around my house oblivious to most things that go on. She understands some words, and apart from "Ayee,"(her pronunciation of her own name, Allie) "woof woof," and "granda" can't even speak. But somewhere in her little heart there is a sure knowledge that she is loved. Everyone exists for her. She appears, and intelligent conversation stops. She stands up and every eye is on her, watching, protecting. She has NO idea that our entire world has changed, has been tailored just for her. My house is full of toys, high chairs, even a crib taken all the way over from Scotland for when her mom and dad lets her spend the night with us. Allie is loved.
You never stand up without His eyes watching you. You never speak without Him hearing. He has proven Himself time and time again.
So for every one that reads this blog, you must agree... Jesus never fails. He rearranged the universe to count us in. And yet we wander through life largely unaware, as little Allie... that His love is forever upon us.
I woke up early this morning with this thought in my mind, "Gods love is new every morning." So my dear friend, you may not always be aware of it, but rest assured... you are loved.
